This was a battle of wills with my toddler. She’d been offered an afternoon watching The Jungle Book. To be honest, I was sorely tempted to sloth out on the couch and nap or do some blogging. But this blog doesn’t happen unless I do.
So I knocked out my lazy buddy, slung a moaning toddler on my back and took off for the park. Once we were down there, she forgot all about her injustices and set to throwing sticks in the river, spotting new flowers and tramping up rivers.
This is a walk we have done a fair amount, but we tend to march through like a family of London commuters, this time we slowed down, finding spots on the bank to watch the river and hunting for flowers. We actually discovered a whole new part of the park we’d not explored. Result. More wilderness found.
